Imagination Technologies announced its HelloSoft Social Communicator, an integrated HelloSoft V.VoIP (Voice and Video over IP) SDK to enable real-time voice and video communications on a social networking platform.

The company is offering the Social Communicator for licensing on iOS, Android and Windows for mobile computing devices, tablets, mobile media devices and smartphones. “Social networking has revolutionized the way people communicate with each other,” said Tony King-Smith, VP marketing, Imagination. “Regular users and business executives are online all the time and want to share information real-time.  We have made this a reality with HelloSoft Social Communicator, an easy to use and secured application for any mobile device, any access network and any geographic location.”

The HelloSoft Social Communicator is based upon the HelloSoft V.VoIP SDK which provides: complete Video and VoIP functionality; interfaces to basic and enterprise call features; a user interface that can be customized and easily enhanced; full standards compliance; and support for multiple platforms, extensively interoperated and field-deployed.

Besides video and VoIP functionality, HelloSoft Social Communicator also inherits the available features of the social networking platform such as the friends list, their online status, and the posting of messages on the wall, thus providing a complete, integrated application. It also integrates a phone dialer for calling mobile and land-line phone numbers.
