Senior industry executives from South America and North America will meet in Santiago to participate in a series of panels, round table discussions, workshops and informal networking opportunities, focused on the growing games industry in South America.
The conference will feature senior executives in the games industry, each providing a unique perspective relative to their role within the video game ecosystem. Speakers will represent various publishers, studio managers and developers, tech/middleware executives, hardware representatives, agents, business development executives and attorneys.
Speakers scheduled to attend include executives from EPIC Games, Razer, Hibernum Studios, International Digital Entertainment Agency, Fingerfood Studios, Bedoya & Visbal Abogados and the Interactive Entertainment Law Group. *
Patrick Sweeney, Founding Partner of IE Law Group, explains that this conference is the first of its kind in the region. “Within the last few years, I’ve seen many great studios coming from South America generally, and Chile in particular,” said Sweeney. “Our collaboration with Video Games Chile will be beneficial to all our speakers and attendees alike by facilitating the sharing of best practices, mentorship and networking opportunities. We are happy to work with Video Games Chile on this event.”
Jorge Bedoya ofadded: “The rapid growth of South American video game companies has caught the attention of companies around the world. This is why we have joined efforts with Video Games Chile to help with this event. I believe that by offering the event’s attendees a place to interact and learn from each other, we can keep strengthening and improving the South American games industry.”
Julio Marambio, the President of Video Games Chile, said that “This event offers a very good chance for Chilean companies to connect directly with partners that are really interested in the Latin American market, to exchange experiences and evaluate possible business opportunities with them, establishing long term relationships. Normally, we have to make great efforts to reach these people and see them personally in international fairs, but now we will be able to actually have them as guests in our own country, which is amazing.”
