Today during her session at the D: All Things Digital conference, the respected Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Byers venture capitalist, Mary Meeker presented her Internet Trends Report.

In it she highlights the continuing growth of mobile and shows the shifting trends in user engagement with her theme of “Re-Imagination”. However, she cautions that while there is reason to be excited about what is going on in the tech industry, the U.S. is in a precarious position with regard to its debt levels and asks people to help in three ways:

1. Engage in politics

2. Help others understand key issues

3. Do what you can to innovate, create jobs and improve education
