Korean mobile game publisher Gamevil announced its FY14 Q3 financials for the three months ending September 30, 2014.(KOSDAQ:063080)
Total revenue for the quarter was $38.9 million, up 102% year-on-year. Net profit for the same period reach $8.9 million, up 449% year-on-year, or 185% quarter-on-quarter. This bring the total revenue for the first 9 months of 2014 to $94.9 million, which well outpaces the $74.4 million for 2013.
2014 marks the company’s expansion into international markets as it opened offices in Singapore, Taipei, and Berlin. Gamevil has been having great success with games such as Dragon Blaze, MLB Perfect Inning and Monster Warlord and plans to launch MMORPG Darkness Reborn, strategy-simulation game Mark of the Dragon, and strategy RPG Elune Saga in Q4 2014, with several Korean titles such as Dragon Blaze and Zenonia Online going international in 2015.
